How long have you been quilting?

I worked for over 20 years at Shropshire Council as Licensing Officer and started quilting when I retired seven years ago. As well as quilting I enjoy sewing, walking, swimming, cycling, flower arranging, being a member of Bannatynes and gardening.

Do you have a favourite fabric style or colour?

I love to buy fabric and patterns when visiting other countries

What's your essential notion of tool?

My cutting mat!

And your favourite snack (or tipple)?

A gin and tonic at the end of a sewing day.

Do you listen to anything while you quilt?

I enjoy listening to Gold radio.

Can you recommend a book?

The Quilters Bible by Linda Clements.

Thank you Janet, its been lovely to get to know you!

And we'd really LOVE to get to know our talented membership too: if you'd like to share your quilting story please send an email to info@shropshirequilters.org for the Q&A sheet.
